As a neuroradiologist my responsibilities include reading MRI and CT of the Brain, Spine, Neck, Alexander Grimm Curriculum Vitae Page 2 of 5 Rev 06/20 and miscellaneous Neuroradiology, teaching residents both on the service and in conference, representing Radiology and Neuroradiology in interdisciplinary conferences and educating other specialists about how Radiology services can help their patients, supervising the technical and nursing staff.
Fellowship Training July ‘04 – June ‘05 Neuroradiology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center Los Angeles, California Fellowship focused on diagnostic and interventional aspects of Neuroradiology. Interventional experience includes emphasis on spine procedures: Vertebroplasty / Sacroplasty, Vertebral augmentation, medication injections (transforaminal, epidural, and intra-thecal), myelography / cisternography, discography, marking screw placement, drain placement, soft tissue and bone biopsy (under fluoroscopy and CT guidance). Training also includes cerebral angiography, aneurysm coiling, AVM and tumor embolization, occlusion/WADA testing. Diagnostic training focuses on MRI and CT evaluation of the spine, brain, head and neck. Regular after-hours coverage responsibilities include all modalities of urgent and emergent radiology services. Academic responsibilities included teaching residents procedural and diagnostic skills, conference preparation and presentation, literature reviews, development and implementation of new teaching file.
