Dr. Anil Wadhwani received his medical degree from Boston University, followed by
a medical internship at Boston City Hospital. He did his residency in Diagnostic
Radiology at Tufts University’s New England Medical Center in Boston.
From 2001-2002 Dr. Wadhwani received his fellowship training at John’s Hopkins
Hospital in cardiovascular and interventional radiology. During his year at John’s
Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Wadhwani developed a special interest in minimally invasive
techniques for the focal treatment of liver tumors (i.e. hepatomas, metastasis, and
neuro-endocrine tumors). His skills also encompass a wide variety of image-guided
procedures including: arterial and venous clot lysis, percutaneous biliary decompression,
TIPS (transhepatic portosystemic shut) nephrostomy tube placement, UAE (uterine
artery embolization for fibroids), abscess drainage, and all forms of venous access.
Dr.Wadhwani is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the
Radiological Society of North America, and the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology.
