Mark Beller, MD

Dr. Mark Beller obtained his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1995. While there he was an elected member of the Student Senate, requiring him to manage his core curriculum with extra-curricular activities and associated administrative tasks for the student body.

After graduating, Dr. Beller did a year of internal medicine at the combined UCLA-Cedars Sinai medical internship program. Subsequently, his five-year radiology residency and fellowship training program was completed at the UCLA Department of Radiological Sciences.

Dr. Beller’s fellowship at UCLA was multi-disciplined, centered upon advanced cross sectional imaging and oncology. His training concentrated upon hepatobiliary imaging including liver MRI and MRCP, genitourinary imaging including female pelvis MRI and CT Urograms, and PET scanning. Dr. Beller’s depth of training included basic fundamental imaging techniques and interpretation, as well as research and innovation in ground breaking fields of image therapy including radiofrequency ablation of liver tumors, cryoablation of renal tumors, thrombin ablation of femoral pseudoaneurysms, and dynamic MRI of the female genitourinary system.

Dr. Beller has published several articles on a range of topics including ovarian teratoma, which was published in the prestigious Radiology journal, as well as a more recent article on CT pulmonary angiograms.

He gave an award winning presentation on Imaging Signs in Musculoskeletal radiology at the Radiological Society of North America meeting which was revolutionary in that it was one of the earlier publications that incorporated an interactive based approach to learning via the internet.

He also was honored to deliver Grand Rounds to UCLA Department of Radiology on the topic of Mycotic Pulmonary Artery Aneurysms. Dr. Beller is still involved in medical education and research and continues to educate the medical community by giving lectures on a variety of topics ranging from Cystic Pancreatic Masses to CT Pulmonary Angiograms to PET scanning for the clinicians.

Immediately out of fellowship, Dr. Beller was recruited by Renaissance Imaging to be part of a subspecialty team that provides the highest quality of imaging services. He has quickly earned respect and praise from his colleagues in practice, as well as the referring physicians in the community.

Dr. Beller brings extensive experience and knowledge regarding advanced computer applications including the use of workstations for three-dimensional image rendering specifically applied to virtual colonoscopy, CT angiography, and multi-phase liver tumor evaluation.

Dr. Beller is an active member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Nuclear Medicine, American College of Radiology, American Medical Association, and Los Angeles Radiological Society. Dr. Beller has an active interest in coronary CTA (CCTA) and is an accredited interpreter of these studies.
